The mri was not as encouraging as hoped. I'm to see a neurosurgeon soon. Prayers will be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I keep telling myself--two more days and then hopefully no more pain and headaches. I feel like a wimp. Yesterday I stayed on a heating pad. Today I've decided to share a wall hanging that I made for my oldest son. He loves all things cowboy; so I made it with a western flair. On the first is a picture of my son, his son, and me. The second picture includes the little indian (grandson) swinging in a tree, lol, my son dressed for days gone by and the little gun in holster was from a set of diaper pins that my son wore as a baby.

I got the sweetest little doll from http://roseyposeyconfections.blogspot.com/ and I can't wait to create with her. Cheryl dressed her and put a tiny valentine in her hand--just darling. She is 2 1/4 inches tall--don't you just love miniatures! Cheryl is a precious person. Go visit her cute blog.

I won't be stitching for a few more days; so I shall share one of my hearts (which really needs to be finished up, lol) I have to go back on Monday for an MRI again and then will see a neurologists Tuesday. All prayers would be deeply appreciated. I hope everyone had a marvelous Valentine's Day--filled with love and chocolate and wonderful family and friends.

I have been dealing with a headache from a neck injury; so no creating this week. After a doctor visit tomorrow, I hope to be able to stitch again. I shall share a picture of a pillow that I made as a wedding gift for a cousin not too long ago. The lighting made the top corner appear gold, but it all white and cream.

This is a work in progress that I have decided to finish up. I love hands--they tell so much about someone. I think the reason I love antiques is knowing that someone lovingly touched something long ago. I have a little collection of hand dishes and they make me smile to see them holding things. Ahh, back to the block. When finished it will be part of a victorian themed wall hanging. I did the hand on fabric--I enjoy painting on fabric as it unites two of my creative pastimes. When finished there will be a lacy cuff and jewelry. Hope you enjoy.

Today I thought I would share one of my favorite things. I almost named my blog The Crinoline Lady, lol. I love the crinoline ladies from long ago. This beautiful dresser scarf was given to me by a dear friend.

I am terribly claustrophobic. I have no idea why. Today I had to have an MRI. With some calming medicine and my face covered with a washcloth, I made it through with no problem, lol.
I hopefully will have the results Monday. Unforturnately, for my creating, the medicine has kept me sleepy all day; so hopefully I will be able to do something tomorrow. Blogger refuses to let me add a picture, sorry.

Here are two more of the needlecases that I created.

Wednesday, February 06, 2008

More needlecases. The first is cq with a boot I painted on fabric. The second is a mint tin that I painted. Enjoy! I've done many of these for friends and family.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the good wishes and sweet comments. I'm feeling a bit better--now waiting for an MRI to be scheduled. One of my dear friends signature is "Growing old is not for wimps" and I have to agree, lol. Since I haven't been creating, I've decided to share some of the needlecases and needle books I've made. Hope you enjoy! The first was for a swap I was in for a friend. The second is made with an AOL tin for a friend.

Have the flu. Back soon.
