Today was a lovely sunny day in Texas. I'm still stitching on my crinoline lady and can't wait to share. I had a lovely visit from my friend Linda today. She oohed and aahed over it. I thought I would share the mermaid that I did a few years ago. It is hanging in my bath with all the seashells I collected in my travels.

I'm sitting here working on a crinoline lady embroidery--that I shall share when I get further along. My five year old grandson, Will, spent the day with me; so I didn't start stitching until late. I just enjoyed playing with him earlier. I thought I would share one of my favorite pieces that I stitched in the past. I love fans and have ideas for creating several others someday.

The weather is going to be perfect all week for stitching--cold and drizzly rain. I've pieced a pillow for my dear niece, Sara, today. Tomorrow I will begin the fun part of embellishing. There will be a lot of love going into this pillow for Sara and for my baby sister, Jacqueline, who died in June of this past year.

I completed another heart tonight to swap with Jakkie. It is done with hankerchiefs.

This is the other rr block I have worked on today. I sketched the hand from a small charm I have and then embroidered.

I haven't been stiching for the last few days because two of my grandchildren have been taking turns staying with me. Today I finished up some work on a round robin I am in.

I completed another little heart for my friend, Rita. It was fun and done all in her favorite blues.

I loved doing these ladies. This is another hanky lady.

A few years ago, out of my love for hankies, I designed a pillow with a hanky lady.

I've finished another valentine. The embroidered heart was inspired by a blog I visited: http://boiteacouture.blogspot.com/ Even though I don't speak french, it is a wonderful, fun blog.

The heart that Mary E. made for me is gorgeous. The stitching is so delicate and beautiful. I have a beautiful collection of teapots (my pincushion is even in a little teapot) and this will be perfect framed in my dining room with them. Mary and I met at a cq retreat years ago and formed a precious friendship that I truly value.

I have to share gifts received from one of my dearest friends, Mary. She is truly one of the most gifted women I have ever met. I reeived this pincushion doll from her and it is a treasure.

Today I mailed the finished heart to Florence.

I've been working on this valentine for a dear friend. I'm also working on something which is a secret and can't post yet, lol.

Today I finished a heart for Karen. Now I am off to do one very similiar for another swap.

I finished up the peach heart with the cat print. I added a topiary, which I love making.
